My work is a reflection of how I want to see the world. Some things that identify my work are short length, light and happy, diversity, and universality.

 

I work on both Animation and Film& Television. Both of these are similar in the sense that they can be purely visual experiences but are complemented by sound design, they’re both collaborative areas, and the mediums themselves have no specific audience but can connect with anyone. It’s possible to combine both mediums and ideas and processes can be interchanged but the skills needed to succeed in each are very different.

 

I decided to work in both animation and film and television because I’ve always been fascinated by stories; the worlds and characters humans would create and tell each other about for entertainment or to communicate new ideas or feelings that they couldn’t explain any other way. Film and television are now a significant part of culture and have been made highly available to most of the population in a way that unifies use no matter where we’re from. Animation tends to be written off as something solely for kids but it has evolved by creating stories with great emotional depth that everyone can benefit from witnessing.

 

I believe that nowadays, with the world filled with fear and hate and the fast access we have to all the real stories of pain and suffering, people should have an outlet where they know they are welcomed and can spend a portion of their time without worries. I want to create stories that let people enjoy themselves without fear.
